Thanks to a generous donation by both The Perseverance Trust and the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care at King’s College London, we are pleased to offer bursaries of £500 for students undertaking pre-registration nursing or midwifery programmes.
Award value
Each bursary is worth £500, with selection and final award based on financial circumstances, and is intended to help fund living expenses during your academic year.
Eligibility criteria
Eligible programmes are:
- Midwifery with Registration BSc
- Nursing with Registration as an Adult Nurse BSc / MSc
- Nursing with Registration as a Children's Nurse BSc / MSc
- Nursing with Registration as a Mental Health Nurse BSc / MSc
- Nursing (Dual-Award) with Registration as an Adult Nurse and a Mental Health Nurse MNurs
In order to be eligible to apply, you should meet the criteria listed below and also be able to provide evidence of financial need. You must:
- be a full-time, home student actively enrolled on one of the relevant programmes listed above for 2025-26;
- provide a written statement explaining your financial circumstances;
- have an assessed household income of £42,875 or less, as verified by Student Finance (SFE/SFNI/SFW/SAAS);
- have given Student Finance consent to share your household income data with the university.

Award conditions
APPLICATION DEADLINE: There will be two deadlines across the year:
1. 11.59pm on 30th November 2025* (or until all funds have been allocated).
2. 11.59pm on 1st March 2026* (or until all funds have been allocated).
