King's Quarantine Hardship Fund 2021-22

The King's Quarantine Hardship Fund is now open and will be closing for applications on 31st October 2021.
King's College London has made funds available to assist international students in financial need with the costs of quarantine upon entering the United Kingdom, in order to take up your study place.

How much could I receive?

Successful applicants could receive up to £2,285 towards quarantine costs.

Am I eligible to apply? 

 In order to be eligible to submit an application for hardship support, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • be enrolled on a programme at King's College London from September 2021
  • be studying full-time at undergraduate, postgraduate taught/research level
  • be an international student travelling directly from a red list country direct to the UK, required to quarantine
  • be travelling to England because your course requires you to be on campus/your timetable has on-campus teaching. You would have confirmed this on your Study Location form as part of your enrolment/re-enrolment.
  • your quarantine start date should take place after 1st September 2021, and should end no later than 18th October 2021
  • your annual household income and savings should not exceed £40,000 (GBP equivalent)
**Please note that meeting the eligibility criteria above alone does not guarantee that an award can be made.**

How do I apply?

Applications can be made online here.
Please note that you should upload your scanned supporting evidence when prompted during the online application process, 
The supporting evidence you will need to supply are:
  • invoice and proof of payment for your completed quarantine
  • evidence of your household income (Self and Sponsors) and savings
The deadline for all applications and evidence is 31st October 2021. Any incomplete applications will not be considered.
Please also note that funds cannot be awarded in advance of completing quarantine, nor in advance of the deadline for applications.
