History Bursary 2022-23

 

 

What is the History Bursary?

The History Bursary is designed to offer assistance to candidates who are in need of extra financial support to undertake their BA History (3YR) degree. 

 

 

 

 

How much is the bursary?

The Bursary is worth £10,000, payable over 3 years.Resitting, interruptions, study abroad and placement years will not be funded.

Payments will be made as follows: 

1st year    £3,000
2nd year   £3,000
3rd year    £4,000

 

 

 

 

Am I eligible to apply?

You must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for this bursary:

  • Have firmly accepted an offer of a place by the relevant UCAS deadline on BA History (3YR) at King’s College London commencing in Sept 2022

  • Be undertaking your first degree

  • Be classified as a home student, paying home tuition fees

  • Have a household income of £42,875 per annum or less

  • Confirmation that you have applied to Student Finance England/Wales/Northern Ireland or the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) for your full statutory package of support (Student Loans for Maintenace and Student Loan for Tuition Fes). Confirmation you will be in receipt of full financial support for the 2022-23 academic year. Please ensure you have given consent to share the information with the university, as this information will be used to determine eligibility

  • Provide a written personal statement in support of your application

    • Be willing to provide an end of year report or any other interactions deemed necessary by the donor

 

 

 

How do I apply?

The deadline for receipt of applications is 19th August 2022.

When will I be notified of the outcome?

All applicants will receive notification by the second week of September.
