How to apply for clearing between 5 July and 8 August?

To apply for accomodation between 5 July and 8 August:

Log-in to the online application portal to start your application.

1. We recommend that you use either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox when accessing our accommodation portal

2. Please enter your username and password. Your username is your Student ID number and can be found on your academic offer letter. Your password is your Date of Birth in the format of DDMMYY.

3. Once you have logged on, click on Application and Booking Management (on the left-hand side menu) and select Main Menu.

4. Click on Apply Here to start your application.

5. Ensure that you click Finish & Submit before closing the screen.

Once you have completed your application you will receive an email confirmation.

When will I receive an offer?

Applications will be processed on first come first served basis. If you are applying between July 5 and August 8, you will receive an offer from August 21.

If you are applying after August 09 offers will be sent from August 21 onwards.

I don't have my final results and won't get them until 15 August. Can I apply between 5 July and 8August?

No, you can't apply yet. You'll need to wait until you receive your results on 15 August.

I have accepted an academic offer through Clearing, how long should I wait until I can apply for accommodation?

You’ll need to wait 48 hours after accepting your academic offer to access our accommodation portal to submit your accommodation application.

What happens after I accept my accommodation offer?

You will receive a copy of your licence agreement by email confirming your residence, room type and, start and end of contract. You will also be required to complete the pre-arrival online induction which will also allow you to book your arrival slot. For more information, check our Moving-in pages

I don’t like my room allocation. Can King’s Residences change it?

We process over 10,000 applications for the 5,300 available rooms at King’s Residences. Therefore, regrettably it is unfeasible for us to offer anyone a room moves/swaps due to the volume of applications being processed, particularly at this time of the year. Room swaps/moves are possible from October onwards, depending on our current availability.

If you are nervous about the location of your residences or price bracket, please speak to our team via kingsresidences@kcl.ac.uk or via our live chat available on our webpage and we can talk you through your concerns and make suggestions that may help address such concerns.

What happens if I chose to decline my accommodation offer?

Should you decline your offer, we will not be able to make you a new offer and your application will be automatically removed from our system.  You may still re-apply for accommodation but the chances of securing accommodation that way are even slimmer.

When can I move in to my residence?

Our main moving-in weekend is 14th and 15th September. However, we also offer early arrivals from September 9th  and you can book your arrival slot when completing the online induction. Please note that early arrivals incur in extra charges and should be requests firstly on your accommodation application form so you can be issued with a contract with the correct dates.
