This module is an introduction to physical geography and its interactions with humankind with a particular focus on climate and on natural hazards. It is aimed at all students and provides the foundation for understanding the physical environment. Lectures provide an introduction to the science of climate and natural hazards and helps to provide an understanding of the natural environment as a system and the interrelationships of humans and their impact on the natural environment.
