Advanced Topics in Development Economics (Module)

Module description

This module aims to expose students to leading issues in development economics such as the role of industrialisation in the long-run development or the contribution of demographics to economic growth. The module also familiarises students with cutting-edge empirical research on various prominent topics like human capital, Foreign Direct Investment, public utilities and the specific challenges for Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
