Dissertation In Applied Language Studies (Module)

Module description

The key aims of the module are to enable students to investigate in depth a topic in applied language studies of their own choice. Students will also further develop the skills in quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis acquired in Year Two when doing the compulsory ‘Research Methods in Applied Language Studies’ (5SSEL029) module. In addition, students should develop the ability to organise and produce an extended piece of writing in which they provide an extensive literature review and report and interpret their findings. This also involves the development of research and writing-up skills useful in future professional and academic roles.
