This module is designed provide students with a thorough understanding of the key issues related to religion and politics. The rise in public manifestations of religions in the last two decades in all parts of the world has led to much rethinking and reconsideration of the relationship of religious thought and practice to political structures and processes. The first part of the course will deal with theoretical debates and the later part with look at a few case studies in some detail.
This course will be of particular interest to students interested in International Politics.
