The module begins by examining Karl Marx’s critique of political economy – it’s philosophical background, and application to capitalism in a globalised world. We then examine later radical approaches to political economy from a variety of different anarchist traditions, as well as ecological, gendered, post-colonial, and racial critiques of capitalism, the state, and mainstream theories thereof.
