Chinese International Investments (Module)

Module description

A most recent episode in China’s encounters with globalisation is the emerging global presence of Chinese multinational enterprises and the rapid increases in foreign direct investment (FDI) from mainland China. This module examines various aspects of this new development, considering the challenges and opportunities it offers for China and the rest of the world. The module draws on most recent research, economic and policy analysis of Chinese outward FDI, taking a variety of disciplinary angles into account, including economic, international business and political economy perspectives. The topics covered thus reflect the status quo of current research on the subject.
