Module description

China today is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Within a short period of just above thirty years, China has emerged from a poor developing country to become an important global economic power. This module analyses how China successfully managed economic transformation and development since economic reform and opening began in 1978, and evaluates the policies and economic choices that lie behind China’s great economic progress and rapid economic growth.
