Human Mobility (Module)

Module description

The module will provide a comprehensive survey of human mobility in its various forms from nomadism to economic migration, abandonment and resettlement to forced migration and displacement. The lectures will also cover the history of human mobility, explore its drivers, analyse the ways in which it has been governed, and discuss the various theories used to explain and predict migrant flows. The module will focus on understanding the complex relationship that human mobility has with globalization, development and environmental change.
