Industrial Economics and International Development (Module)

Module description

This module provides students with a framework for understanding and modelling the behaviour of firms in a dynamic setting, especially in imperfectly competitive markets. It aims to introduce students to the latest theories on the organisation of the firm and industries, with a particular focus on their impact on development of emerging countries. Practical examples will be used to illustrate the role of each theory in current policy debates.
