Radiotherapy Physics (Module)

Module description

The module aims to provide knowledge that underpins the Radiotherapy Physics and gives tools to undertake further research or practice in this area. 

At the conclusion of the module the student will be able to explain the radiobiological basis of radiotherapy and the patient pathway in radiotherapy; understand dose measurement, calibration, quality assurance, treatment planning and their practical application; discuss the physics of radiotherapy treatment machines and dosimetry equipment; understand the quality framework in Radiotherapy Physics; understand the quality framework in Radiotherapy Physics and work safely in the Radiotherapy environment and will have gained knowledge and practice on the treatment planning of a basic range of clinical conditions
