Award description
This full tuition fee waiver supports study on the Master of Laws (LLM) programme or LLM Pathway Law Non-Award programme at King’s in the academic year in 2026/27. The award is open to applicants who are domiciled in mainland China and holding an offer to study the Master of Laws LLM and is designed to recognise exceptional potential to contribute to global legal innovation.

Award value
The Scholarship will cover a full tuition fee waiver of £38,300 for Master of Laws (LLM) programme students in the 2026-27 academic year.
For applicants undertaking the LLM Pathway Law Non-Award programme, the fee waiver will apply to Year 1 only (2026/27) , and will be £38,300.
Eligibility criteria
Eligible candidates must:
- be permanently domiciled in mainland China
- be classified as Overseas fee status
- hold an offer at King's for the Master of Laws (LLM) programme or LLM Pathway Law Non-Award programme in 2026-27
- not already hold a postgraduate degree from King’s or any other institution
Please note that:
Preference may be given to students enrolled in or holding an undergraduate degree from a mainland Chinese institution with a partnership link to the Dickson Poon School of Law (DPSoL).

- Tsinghua University
- East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL)
- China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL)
- Peking University
- Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS)
