Brexit information for EU & EEA and Swiss Nationals

Approach to Brexit

King’s remains fully committed to being a multicultural, international university and our European students are a very important part of our community.

Response to Article 50

The Prime Minister, Theresa May has now triggered Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty which formally marks the start of the negotiation process for the UK’s exit from the European Union. There is still much uncertainty about the future, but we hope things will now start to become clearer.

King’s is international

We embrace diversity and are international to the core. We are enormously proud of all our students and staff, wherever they are from in the world.

Since the referendum, the university community has come together to provide support for all those impacted by Brexit. We have been working closely with students to make sure we focus on their needs and concerns.

Information for students

We understand that many people will have concerns about the future, but it might be helpful for us all to reflect on some of the things that we do know at present:

  • There are no visa restrictions for students entering the UK from the EU.
  • The government has confirmed that EU students entering UK universities in 2018/19 and 2019/20 will continue to pay fees at the home rate, and will continue to have access to student loans.
