We are delighted that one of our academics, Dr Sharon Stevelink from King’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience – ranked 2nd in the world for psychology (US News Best Global Universities) - will also give a talk about their recent research findings on the impact of war on the mental health of armed forces.

Alumni from King's, currently working in D.C. will also come to talk about their King's experience and journey - and you will have an opportunity to ask them questions and network.

Dr Sharon Stevelink MSc, PhD
Dr Stevelink is a Lecturer in Epidemiology at King’s Centre for Military Health Research and the Department of Psychological Medicine, King’s College London. Sharon is currently involved with a number of projects investigating the health and well-being of military personnel and veterans funded by the UK Ministry of Defence, the Forces in Mind Trust and the Royal British Legion. Further, she is examining the mental health of first responders including the police, firefighters and paramedics using data from the UK Biobank. Sharon’s major expertise lies in epidemiological research methods, occupational outcomes, mental health and well-being.
