Psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience

ioppn-seminar

King’s is ranked 2nd in the world for psychology and psychiatry (US News, Best Global Universities).

We are home to one of the world’s largest centres for postgraduate education and research in the areas of psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience, and we are ranked 1st in the world for the number of research papers in these areas in the top 10% (Scopus Data).

Study of the mind and human brain is one of the most exciting and important areas of advancing medical science, and making a difference is at the heart of what we do.

Whether it’s conducting ground-breaking research, enhancing patient care, influencing policy change, raising awareness of conditions affecting the brain or sharing knowledge through education, our principle aim is to understand how the mind and brain work, and how we can help prevent and treat mental and neurological disorders.

Drawing upon a rich history and through our links with the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM), the largest provider of mental health services in the UK, you will get the opportunity to work alongside world-leading scientists and clinicians, and benefit from outstanding career, networking and mentoring opportunities.

Our students benefit from:

  • a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses

  • world-class facilities

  • access to a diverse academic community at the forefront of ground-breaking research.
