Our one-year intercalated Physiology BSc will give you the opportunity to explore the field of physiology, learning from world-renowned experts in a range of research fields, including cardiovascular biology, endocrinology, human physiology and regenerative medicine. There is a strong emphasis on understanding the pathophysiology of disease processes such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Course essentials

Our one-year intercalated Physiology BSc gives you the opportunity to explore the fascinating field of physiology in a fun and interactive manner. You will have the opportunity to learn from and engage with world-renowned experts and award winning educationalists in the fields of cardiovascular biology, endocrinology, applied human physiology and regenerative medicine.

You will study the homeostatic control of physiological processes and systems, including their adaptation under different environmental and biological settings. There is a strong emphasis on understanding how systems become dysregulated and the pathophysiology of disease processes such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. In addition to the wide range of Physiology modules available, you can combine these with complementary Anatomy, Pharmacology and Neuroscience modules if desired to create a bespoke Physiology iBSc.
