Cooper Bursary 2018-19

The Cooper Bursary is a £1,000 award to a student who can demonstrate they are struggling to meet their living costs. 

What is the Cooper Bursary?

Rachel and Paul Cooper are close friends of the College and family members of a current student at King’s. The Cooper Bursary is a one-off sum of £1,000 to a student who can demonstrate they are struggling to meet their living costs.

The sum is to be spent meeting the scholars living costs and enjoying London’s multi-faceted culture.


Am I eligible to apply?

The Cooper Bursary welcomes home fee status postgraduate and undergraduate applicants, from any discipline, in any year.

All applicants will have to submit documentary evidence with their applications to verify their financial status.


When will the award be paid?

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in May 2018. The successful applicant will also receive payment at that time. 

Applicants must  be willing to submit a thank you letter and report to the donors. 


How do I apply?

You can download an application form now. 

The deadline for receiving application forms and supporting documents is Friday 17 May 2019.

Late applications will not be considered. 


When will I know the outcome of my application?

Provided your application form has been accurately completed and the appropriate documentary evidence supplied, you will be notified of the decision by 31 May 2019.
