Care Leaver and Estranged Bursary 2020-21
Care Leaver and Estranged Bursaries of up to £1,000 per year are available for students who are under 25 and have experience of care or are estranged.
What is the Care Leaver and Estranged Bursary?
The College makes available bursaries of up to £1,000 to students who are care-experienced or are estranged from their family.
An estranged person is someone who no longer has a relationship or is no longer in contact with their family, and is not supported by them. This might mean biological or adoptive parents or wider family members who have been responsible for supporting the student in the past.
How do I apply?
The bursary is automatically awarded to undergraduate students with their care-experienced or estranged status verified by King’s. To get your status verified, or to check if it already has been, please contact priority-groups@kcl.ac.uk.
Students are encouraged to give UCAS and Student Finance England 'consent to share' their financial information with the college.
