King's walks

King's Walks are your way to get between King's campuses whilst taking in the numerous points of interest right on our doorstep. Make the most of visiting, studying or working at the most central University in London.

Our downloadable tours are all below so all you have to do is open, print and get going!

If you'd like to take a different approach the custom Google map below not only highlights the King's Walks routes, but also shows some of the other interesting things to see within a stone's throw of King's so you can go and explore.

Toggle the different walks on and off using the menu button in the top left corner. Click any of the points of interest for more information, photos and videos about each.

Campus to Campus Self-Guided Walks

There are seven King's Walks that you are able to follow, and these can be followed backwards just as easily as forwards so there should always be a suitable route for you.

Around Denmark Hill

Being slightly further away from the rest of the main King's campuses this tour is around the Denmark Hill area, allowing you to take in some local points of interest when visiting the campus, or perhaps over lunch.

Guy's to St Thomas'

Probably one of the longer of our King's Walks this walk takes you a slightly different way between our Guy's and St Thomas' campuses. Swapping the more conventional stroll along the River Thames for a chance to see Union Street and Lower Marsh.

Guy's to Strand

A scenic stroll along the River Thames to get you between two of our biggest campuses at King's. With so much to see it won't be surprising that this route is a popular one.

North Loop

The 'North Loop' as we have called it is a chance to take in some of the different buildings that make up the Strand Campus as well as a really nice local green space - particularly nice if the sun is shining.

Strand to St Thomas'

The south bank of the River Thames is right up there as one of the most popular places in Central London to visit, and it's just a stones throw from our Waterloo, St Thomas' and Strand campuses. On this walk you will get to see loads in what is a relatively short walk.

Strand to Waterloo

Our shortest King's Walk of the set but a route so often trodden by students, staff and visitors alike. Stop halfway across Waterloo Bridge to capture those impressive river views.

Waterloo to St Thomas'

A chance to make the short hop from Waterloo to St Thomas' that little bit more interesting by seeing a little more of the Waterloo area and then taking in some of the south bank of the River Thames.
