Welcome to the Division of Social Mobility and Student Success.
We’re here to give everyone the opportunity to succeed.
King’s College London has a commitment to changing the world. Building on this, the University’s Vision 2029 document set a clear focus on our institution’s history of service to the wider community. The creation of the Social Mobility and Student Success Divison in 2017 was a key part of that commitment.
Why Social Mobility?
Social mobility is necessary for redressing social inequality. Here at King’s College London we’re committed to finding the brightest minds regardless of their background and supporting them in accessing higher education.

What is Student Success?
Every student has different needs. What’s important for all of them however is that they have the chance to make the most of their time at King’s. We operate a number of projects and services that ensure students can access the right support to tackle any challenges that might stop that from happening.

Does this work?
It’s an important question and one we take seriously. All King’s Widening Participation and Student Success initiatives are evidence-based and robustly evaluated by a What Works team that has evolved from groundbreaking work with the government's Behavioural Insights Team.
