Centered upon distinguished British experts' diverging strategic perspectives, last October the International Team for the Study of Security - Verona hosted a truly fascinating debate on Brexit and security. Founded by KCL's Dr Michele Groppi and Zeno Leoni, ITSS-Verona wishes to offer Londoners a continuation of the discussion started in Italy right before January 31st. Entitled "Brexit and tomorrow's societal implications", the event features pundits from KCL's War and Defence Studies Departments, Cambridge University, LSE, and the Institute of Economic Affairs reflecting upon what Brexit might look like in the upcoming months. Concretely, how will the economy react? What will happen to British social fabric? How will domestic and international security policies be affected? How will future history books picture the whole Brexit matter? After the December 12 election, should academics come together and formulate a series of metrics to assess societal implications in the post-Brexit era? Willing to enhance debate, ITSS-Verona wholeheartedly invites the public to attend the event on January 28, at 18.00, Bush House, Lecture Theatre 3, Strand Campus, KCL.

The event is going to be moderated by Dr Ben Kienzle, senior lecturer, Defence Studies Department, KCL, and will include:

  • Prof Graham Gudgin, honorary research associate at Centre for Business Research, Cambridge
