After campaigning door to door for the democratic socialist Senator Sanders in New York City, two ardent Bernie supporters go to Philadelphia to protest Hillary Clinton’s nomination at the Democratic National Convention, furious in their knowledge that her nomination could lead to a Donald Trump presidency.
Just weeks before the midterm elections that may lead to a resurgence of democratic socialism in the USA, join us for a discussion about 'A Campaign of Their Own', a documentary that chronicles the grassroots social justice movement that supported Bernie Sanders in 2016. The film’s producer and co-author Michael Mitchell will be present to lead a discussion about the role of art in documenting political movements that go under the media's radar, democratic socialism in the US and representation in modern democracy. Michael will be joined by discussants from the School of Global Affairs and Arts and Humanities.
