HR Excellence in Research Award
King's College London is ranked 16th in the world in the QS World University Rankings of the top 850 global higher education institutions.
This ranking is an improvement for King's of three places since last year.
During the same period, King's has also moved up one place to 5th in the UK.

King's rises in THE World Reputation Rankings
King's College London has been awarded the HR Excellence in Research Award from the European Commission.
Recognition is granted to universities within the European Union whose policies and practice show commitment to supporting researchers' careers and ensuring good working conditions and career development opportunities for researchers.

King's climbs in THE World University Rankings
King's College London has risen to 43rd place in the Times Higher Education world rankings of universities by reputation, making it Europe's biggest riser in the reputation rankings.
The rankings highlight King's continued success in building global profile and reputation through international research, collaboration and partnerships.

King's 'five star status' renewed
King's has risen 19 places to 38th in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2013-14, in association with Thomson Reuters.
King's has recorded a greater rise in the rankings than any other UK university in the top 100 and has risen from 8th to 6th position in the country.

Athena SWAN Bronze Award given to King's
King's has had its 'five star status' renewed again in 2013.
QS describes a typical five stars university as 'world class in a broad range of areas, enjoys a high reputation and has cutting edge facilities and internationally renowned research and teaching faculty'.

King's has been a member of the Athena SWAN Charter since 2007 and gained its Bronze institutional award in 2008. The College's Bronze award was renewed in September 2013 for a further three years.
Athena SWAN is a Charter which recognises excellence in an institution's commitment to gender equality in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) subjects.
