College Research Ethics Committee
The College Research Ethics Committee (CREC) is the body responsible for the research ethics review of all proposals for research which involve human participants and materials derived from human participants; are to be carried out within the geographical boundaries of King's College London; and/or are to be undertaken by staff or students of the College elsewhere. Review is undertaken in order to ensure that such research conforms to generally accepted ethical principles and standards, except where the proposal for such research has been or will be examined by the research ethics committee of the relevant NHS authority.
