September saw the launch of the Stage-based Curriculum 2020. We already have some practices running Quality Improvement Projects for Stage 3 (Year 4) students but most GPteaching will start next year - May for the Stage 3 (Year 5) 8 week GP block and September for the Stage 2 (year2) longitudinal placement.

Stage 3

Please note that the GP rotations for Stage 3 (Year 5) will move to an earlier time slot in the year than Phase 5 have been:

  • Rotation 1 - 29/05/17 – 21/07/17
  • Rotation 2 - 21/08/17 – 13/10/17
  • Rotation 3 - 23/10/17 – 08/12/17

If you are a ‘network’ practice you will have received these dates and we are now actively recruiting for Stage 3(Year 5) teaching.

Please bear in mind that the first 2 and a half days of each rotation for Stage 3 will be on campus here at Guys and students will arrive with you in practice on the Thursday of the first week.

SSCs will be established for Stage 2 Year 2 students for Rotation 1, Sept – Dec 2017

Scholarly projects will be established for Stage 2 Year2 Rotation 2 in Jan 2018 and Rotation 1 and 2, Stage 2 Year 3 in 2018-19

Stage 3 years 4 and 5 – there will be non SSCs or Scholarly projects

More information on SSCs and Scholarly projects will be posted as it becomes available
