We are delighted to share the news that King’s has moved up into the top 5 for dentistry, in the QS World University Rankings by subject.

Having ranked 9th for the last two years, this shift to 5th reflects the strength of the faculty's research and education programmes, and their collective effort in ensuring we continue to be the leading University for dentistry in the UK.

The QS World University Rankings by subject is an extensive overview of international higher education performance, by global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symounds. The QS methodology comprises an overall score and four key indicators: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations Per Paper and H-Index (the average productivity/impact per scholar).

The data provides students, policymakers, academic administrators, faculty, and employers with insight into our institutional performance.

While these rankings are limited to our research in the field of dentistry, we must also remember that our faculty expertise extends further and includes oral and craniofacial sciences. A massive thank you to all staff for their continued dedication to the faculty.

Professor Michael Escudier, Executive Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences
