Maria Jellinek

PhD Candidate

Biography

Maria Jellinek is a PhD Candidate at the War Studies Department. Her PhD research focuses on humanitarian intervention. She is teaching International Relations Theory as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at King’s College London.

Before coming to King’s, Maria worked as a Law Fellow at the Public International Law & Policy Group in Washington DC where she was providing legal advice and negotiation support on numerous issues relating to political transitions, national political dialogues, and governance structures. She has conducted research for Journalists for Human Rights - a media development organization based in Canada. Maria holds two LLM degrees in international law, one from the University of Toronto and one from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
