If you are interested in postgraduate study at King’s, you should apply directly to the College using our online application system. This makes applying easier and quicker for you and means we can receive your application faster and more efficiently.
Please note that some programmes have slightly different application procedures. Please refer to the online prospectus before applying. The online prospectus also contains full details for all programmes offered by King’s, and offers information on entry requirements, application deadlines, modules available and contact details for admissions staff.
Please see below for transcript, or alternatively download the transcript in Word format here.
Zeenya Wahab, Postgraduate Admissions Manager for Health Schools:
“The best thing to do for finding out about programmes would be to look on the King’s online webpages. We do have a paper copy of the prospectus, but we usually advise people to go online because there’ll be a lot more information and it’ll be regularly updated.”
“So there’s a new online ‘MyApplication’ system and we advise all potential applicants to apply for programmes on the online system. The online application system is a direct link to the admissions office, so anyone putting in an application form online will then be viewed by an admissions officer, who will go through their application and be able to respond to them and contact them through their. We usually advice applicants that they will receive a decision within four-six weeks.”
Dr Jenny Yiend, Programme Director, Mental Health Studies MSc:
“So a strong application for a master’s programme really needs to have several elements to it. The first thing that I’m looking for is a strong academic record. So that means, a 2:1 or a first.”
Dr Jonathan Koffman, Sub-Dean of Taught Postgraduate Studies, School of Medicine:
“So we’re looking at previous experience, we’re looking at previous qualifications, and also, very importantly, we also want to understand what they want to get out of that specific programme. How they envisage that course will enable them to move forward.”
Dr Reginald Docherty, Postgraduate Admissions Tutor, Pharmacology MSc:
“In general, good applications are the straightforward ones, where everything is clear”
Dr Hye-Kyung Lee, Department of Cultural & Creative Industries:
“My advice for potential applicants is that it is important for them to prepare a very well written personal statement, as well as a good piece of written example, that can show clearly their academic and writing skills.”
Dr Jenny Yiend, Programme Director, Mental Health Studies MSc:
“I think if I was giving a single piece of advice to a potential master’s student, it would definitely be to apply as early as possible.”
Dr Jonathan Koffman, Sub-Dean of Taught Postgraduate Studies, School of Medicine:
“My one piece of advice is for students to really prepare their personal statement quite carefully before they enter it into the online application. That statement is absolutely critical as it provides us with a very important window into identifying what their skills are and what they hope to get out of their experience here at King’s College London.”
