Research seminar series

The Centre of Medical Law and Ethics staff research seminar series was established with the aim to foster the research culture within the Centre, and also enhances the research environment of the School. It offers an excellent way for CMLE and School of Law staff to learn more about other members’ on-going research. Potentially, this could foster the creation of collaborative projects and opportunities for cross-fertilisation. It also offers a excellent opportunity to give and receive feedback on on-going research work.

The seminars take place once a month throughout the teaching year. Most CMLE staff seminars are given by CMLE academics and PhD researchers affiliated with the Centre. However, researchers from other departments at King’s or the School of Law, visiting academics, and former CMLE staff and alumni of the MA Medical Ethics and Law undertaking research at other institutions also occasionally give papers.

Those who are invited to attend include CMLE staff and PhD researchers, staff at the School of Law, King’s PhD researchers whose research interests relate to the profile of the CMLE, staff at the Centre for Health and Humanities, Social Science, Health and Medicine, academics from the Institute of Psychiatry, the Philosophy Department, and alumni of the MA Medical Ethics and Law who are currently undertaking research at other institutions.

For any questions about the CMLE seminars, please contact Lisa Forsberg (lisa.forsberg [at] kcl.ac.uk).
