We are pleased to announce that Professor Sally McManus (City St George’s University of London) will give a seminar in early December. Sally will introduce the national Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey (APMS) which runs approximately every seven years and is one of the most comprehensive surveys of its kind globally. Sally will talk about key findings including inequalities in mental health from the latest 2023/24 survey, trends in mental health over two decades, as well as possibilities of using the data in research and collaboration. Sally has extensive experience in social epidemiology, survey design, mental health, and well-being research. She is also director of the interdisciplinary Violence and Society Centre.
