Why choose King's International Foundation?

Our one-year specialist academic preparation programme is designed for ambitious international students who want to study an undergraduate degree in the UK.

Tailored pathways develop your subject knowledge, introduce you to UK higher education and enhance your academic English. The academic year starts in September, or you can choose the extended programme for five weeks' intensive online English language preparation from August.

As a King’s student from day one, you can access all our facilities, activities and support. You will also have a personal tutor for guidance and support with your studies and degree application.

How to find your International Foundation pathway

Browse our pathways below to see the many undergraduate degrees to which you can progress if you successfully complete your foundation. We recommend that you choose a pathway that interests you, for which you will be qualified, and that leads to degrees you would like to study. You can find a list of degrees under the ‘Degree eligibility’ tab on each pathway page.

Some degrees are accessed via more than one pathway, whilst other degrees are only accessible via a single pathway. With this in mind, it is worth investigating the degrees on offer under each pathway to make sure the right options are open to you.

About King's Foundations

King’s has a long history of welcoming international students, and King’s Foundations is proud to play an important part in this tradition.

Entering a new study environment can be challenging, not only in terms of language but also in terms of adjusting to a new academic culture. King’s prepares and supports students in both of these areas through the King’s International Foundation Programme, providing you with the opportunity to prepare for your undergraduate degree.

Our students are King’s students from day one and, alongside your academic studies, you will also be able to access all of King’s facilities, from our libraries, IT, gyms and restaurants to the King’s College London Students’ Union (KCLSU) and its student societies, activities and clubs.

With our team of highly-qualified and experienced teachers, you can be sure that you are taking the best first step towards study in the UK. I look forward to welcoming you and working with you to realise your full potential at King’s.
