Speaker:

Professor Hozumi Motohashi

Tohoku University

Special lecture:

NRF2 addiction of cancer cells and its impact on cancer metabolism

The Department of Gene Expression Regulation focuses on the transcriptional regulation of gene expression that is important for the maintenance of homeostasis. We are also interested in the maintenance of redox homeostasis within the nucleus and the contribution of Nrf2-sMaf to its protection from intrinsic genotoxicity. Our goal is to understand the molecular basis of various pathological conditions related to the aging process from the viewpoint of transcriptional regulation by Nrf2-sMaf and its related factors.

Hosted by:

Professor Phil Eaton

Our series is open to the public and King’s staff and students are encouraged to attend.
