How can organisations use Big Data to make decisions that are more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable and improve our physical health?
This workshop, which draws on research to be published in a special issue of the journal Information & Management, will focus on the underexplored potential to use data analytics techniques and large volumes of data to develop novel solutions to sustainability issues.
Keynote speaker: Dr Guillermo Suarez de Tangil, Lecturer in Computer Science, Department of Infomatics, King's College London on "Using Big Data to Measure the Illicit Crypto-Mining Footprint and Confronting Sustainabillity-related Issues."
The sessions will cover cutting edge solutions to:
- Using exercise analytics and rewards to motivate sustainable changes in physical activity
- Predicting patterns of crime in urban areas
- Estimating interdependency between the UN sustainability goals
- Reducing resource investments and improving the environment via shared autonomous electric vehicles
- Understanding the effect of providing online health consultation services on patient reviews
- Designing environmentally-friendly data mining processes
This workshop will appeal both to those interested in new data analytics methods and those focused on sustainability-related research issues.
