After Prof. Richard Drayton's talk on the question of slavery reparations last week, we would like to invite King's History students to a workshop where they will be able to actively engage with the key ideas and debates pertinent to the colonial past of our university, the teaching of Black History and the lived experience of BME students and staff.

All participants will be divided into four groups/tables and will be invited to participate in a conversation about the following topics:

  • King’s College London, the Empire and decolonisation
  • Teaching of Black History
  • Signage, symbols and iconography
  • The lived experience of BME students and staff

You will be encouraged to move between the different tables to share your ideas with everyone.

This event is free and open to King's History students. Please register your interest to sign up.
