Brewing the Future - 27 May 2023

Please note that this event has passed.

When should a robot explain its behaviour to people? Visitors will encounter a real robot and take part in an experiment where they will collaborate with the King's TIAGo robot to prepare a cuppa.

Researchers will monitor visitor reactions towards the robot to find out what may be confusing. With human help, researchers hope to teach TIAGo to be a better collaborator.

This event is in-person only. Registration is not required.

The demonstration is being delivered by Dr Gerard Canal, Lecturer in Autonomous Systems at the Department of Informatics, King's College London, and Peter Tisnikar and Lennart Wachowiak, PhD students on the UKRI CDT in Safe and Trusted AI.

This event is part of the King's Festival of Artificial Intelligence, running from Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 May 2023, which brings together speakers, exhibits, demos and screenings in an exciting programme of events. Take a look at the other events here.

This demo will also happen on Wednesday 14 June.
