This roundtable will bring together scholars from the Department of War Studies and King's Russia Institute to discuss and mark a year since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine.

The ongoing war has transformed the European continent, bringing massive destruction to Ukraine and human suffering not seen since the Second World War. It overturned many assumptions and practices in the world of politics, in the world of knowledge and social sciences. The participants of this roundtable will discuss the various aspects of the war and its consequences at the domestic and global levels.

SPEAKERS: Natasha Kuhrt, Domitilla Sagramoso, Jade McGlynn, Marc Berenson, Alexander Kupatadze, and Maxim Alyukov. Special guest, Bohdana Kurylo (UCL) will be joining the roundtable.

Moderator: Gulnaz Sharafutdinova
