CANES held its 4th Annual Retreat this month at the De Vere Beautmont Estate in Windsor.
The two day retreat was a huge success with talks from invited industrial members Mark Earthy (Matrica), Jane Usoskina (Polymatica), and Marianne Rolph (EPSRC) who spoke on Monday morning. Following Lunch, we had some excellent talks from current members of CANES including:
- Kirsten Jenkins (Cohort I)
- Gerard McCaul (Cohort I)
- Stefano De Nicola (Cohort I)
- Evan Sheridan (Cohort II)
- Adam Kells (Cohort II)
- Irene Marzuoli (Cohort II)
In the late afternoon there was a discussion on the CDT, a poster session from our newest Cohort (IV) and also a quiz excellently organised by Adam and Evan.
Tuesday’s programme consisted of more cohort talks from Claudio Zeni (II), Vito Susca (III), and Joel Nulsen (III) and a careers session for the students. More images of the retreat can be viewed on the CANES Twitter Account.
