Scope:
Cross River Partnership, a public-private partnership delivering impactful environmental, economic and community focused projects, will be presenting on improving health outcomes through air quality, transport and placemaking projects across London.
Presenters:
Ross Phillips is the Sustainable Transport Manager at Cross River Partnership, a public-private partnership delivering impactful environmental, economic and community focused projects, based in London. Ross has a sustainability background with an MSc from King’s College London in Sustainable Cities and now delivers transport and public realm projects to improve air quality across London. Ross brings a collaborative and data-led approach to problem-solving and is committed to improving health outcomes for residents across London and more resilient through sustainable travel and freight. Ross has extensive experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, delivering air quality and health-based outcomes through public realm projects focussed on creating improved conditions for walking and cycling through the Healthy Streets Everyday II programme, with central local authorities and Business Improvement Districts in London.
Katherine Fairfax is a Project Manager at Cross River Partnership, a London-based public-private partnership delivering impactful environmental, economic, and community-focused projects. With a strong background in sustainability and urban planning, Katherine holds an MA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Westminster and brings extensive experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects and trials related to freight, infrastructure design, and sustainable travel. Katherine will be leading STREET-15, a Driving Urban Transitions-funded initiative that collaborates with European partners to co-create school streets with young people, supporting the 15-minute city approach and urban liveability. Katherine is passionate about healthy placemaking and has a particular interest in how urban design influences mental and physical wellbeing.
