Talk title: ‘Approaching the end, from Rotterdam to Bangalore. Reflections from a journey through geriatric and palliative care’.

Scope: After finishing IMT3 in August 2024, Josh organised a series of observership placements designed for maximum contrast. This talk explores his reflections on different national, organisational and cultural approaches to old age and the end of life. He shares insights into legal, social and philosophical issues and an approach to making the most from time out of training.

Talk title: Cardiovascular biological ageing and Brain-Heart axis: Imaging, Insights, and Implications for research in ageing and preventive medicine

Scope: This talk will explore advancements in estimating cardiovascular biological ageing, emphasizing imaging-derived phenotypes from cardiovascular MRI and their role in ageing research and preventive medicine. Additionally, it will highlight novel findings on brain-heart.
