Catholic Mass at the Strand

The College Chapel, Strand Campus, London

12DecCommunion wafers and silver chalice on clothed altar

The Holy Mass is the highest form of worship in the Catholic Church and is celebrated every Wednesday in the Chapel of Thomas Guy.

The celebration of the Eucharist is at the heart of Catholic life - we hear several readings taken from the Bible and the priest gives an explanation in relation to the life of the students, then the most important part: we believe that it is the real presence of Jesus that comes to us under the species of bread and wine. The faithful will receive Jesus from the hands of the priest. It is a very personal spiritual experience which at the same time constitutes the Catholic Community united in charity by the presence of Jesus and his love for us.

Each week a simple sandwich lunch for King's students and staff will be served after the service in the Strand Chaplaincy Room (room K2.34).
