Climate Amazon: The forest of today and tomorrow (33 minutes, Brazil, 2019).

The documentary focuses on the relationship between the Amazon and the climate through a carefully built narrative that includes interviews with specialists in the area and scientists from some of the most renowned research institutions in Brazil. We know that the future of the Amazon depends on “today”, on the way we interact with the natural environment and how we face the challenges and pressures imposed upon the forest: a daily struggle against deforestation and the impacts of climate extremes, increasingly frequent in the area. This film is testimony of the importance of the Amazon region for the climate while it exposes its fragility and give us a hint of what “tomorrow” could look like… in the worst and best case in scenario.
