In February, we will reflect on the challenges and rewards of conducting research on climate law and governance. During the session, participants will be invited to share experiences from their own research projects with the group. The aim is to foster developing a broader understanding of methodologies and methods used across various disciplines and how they complement each other.

Discussion questions

  1. What questions are driving your research on climate change? How has your personal experience informed and affected your research? How has your positionality affected the way you conduct research?
  2. What research methods have you used? What difficulties have you encountered? We would like to hear both positive and negative experiences, and subsequent solutions.
  3. From your perspective, what are the challenges and what are the rewards of interdisciplinary research endeavours?
  4. What is, and what should be, the role and the responsibility of the scholarly community researching climate change? What implications do answers to this question have for the methodologies and methods we use?
