About the event

India is a relatively young antitrust jurisdiction but, in the past ten years, has quickly become a major international player in policy development, enforcement and merger control. This lecture brings together Indian academics, current and past senior officials of the Competition Commission of India and practitioners. It will focus on the development of Indian competition law to explain how we got where we are today, the current enforcement priorities, especially in the digital economy, and reform proposals currently being considered.
