We warmly invite you to join us for one day of insightful talks on key non-state actors in peace and development. The Conflict, Security & Development Conference is organised by postgraduate students from the War Studies Department and the Department of International Development (ID) at King’s College London. The conference will take place on the 6th March 2020. The title of this year's conference is: “Beyond the State: Rethinking Mechanisms for Peace, Security and Development."​ The conference will gather experts in their field to discuss on panels such as:

  • Political Neutrality and Humanitarian Aid: A Critical Assessment
  • Technology and Media: The Influence of ‘People Power’ on Stability and Development
  • Inclusive Development and Peace: Leveraging the Private Sector
  • Armed Non-State Actors in Peace Processes

The ticket includes full access to the conference, a working lunch and a wine reception, as well as tea and coffee throughout the day.
