For the first event, we are delighted to announce Kira/Xonorika (she/they), who will speak about the temporalities of Latin American Trans Art drawing on her own work as a non-binary writer, artist, and researcher based in Asunción, Paraguay.

Kira has been a guest lecturer in various universities and institutions, including Cambridge and the United Nations. In her academic work, she discusses the politics surrounding the representation of trans bodies in visual arts and media. She is also an Outright Beijing +25 Fellow and holds a Degree in Visual Arts.

Structure of the event:

• 30 minutes artist talk
• 15 minutes Q&A with host
• 15 min audience questions (questions can be submitted in advance via queer@kcl.ac.uk or via the chat during the event)

The event will take place on Zoom. There will be auto captions, as well as BSL interpretation.
