Cultural Competency Workshop 3: Creating an inclusive environment - 22 May 2023

At King’s we want to work together as a community to enhance the cultural competency of all our students and staff. We define cultural competency as the ability to view the world through the lens of other people – in all their diversity.

Join these interactive workshops to actively help develop a Cultural Competency module for staff from across the university. 

Participating staff will have the chance to learn more about cultural competency, reflect on your own experiences and explore connected issues. You will also have the opportunity to gain leadership experience by working with colleagues from across the university, making connections beyond your own area and sharing what you learn.

Learning Objectives:

• To review the different strategies that foster inclusivity

• To recognise the role of stereotypes and prejudice

• To assess their own strategies for increasing inclusivity
