Want to take part in fun and free cultural experiences? Want to be creative and playful?

Come visit the Culture Lounge sessions in the Arcade at Bush House on Strand campus, which hosts a varied programme of activities across the year.

Wednesdays, 12.00 – 15.00: get involved in an array of creative sessions from craft, dance, drawing and film

Members of the King's community can drop in to arts and craft sessions between 12.00 – 15.00 on Wednesdays during term-time. 

You can bring your own project to work on or use the materials provided to get crafting in the creative atmosphere of the Culture Lounge.

There will also be additional free workshops to get involved in, including:

26 September: Singing a Welcome with Alex Etchart in Bush House Arcade and courtyard. Please RSVP for the workshop here.

14 November, 13.00 – 14.30: KCLSU One World Carnival with performances from student societies, face painting and more. No booking required. 

Fridays, 12.00 – 14.00: enjoy music from across King’s cultural community

Come along to the Culture Lounge between 12.00 – 14.00 on Friday lunchtimes to experience music from DJs spinning tunes to choirs singing their hearts out.

23 November: Culture Lounge presents KCL DJ Society.

7 December: Culture Lounge presents KCL DJ Society.

14 December: Culture Lounge presents King's Staff Choir.

There will also be an additional free performance to enjoy:

30 November: Culture Lounge presents Student Sounds, a showcase of five talented King’s students who are musicians and singers. The line-up comprises of Baudouin Char, Teng Chen, Zach Thompson, Ledi Manurung, Selin Sarayli.

Exhibitions in the Arcade

King’s Artists – New Thinking, New Making, 23 October – 15 December 

The Arcade at Bush House is part of the Cultural Quarter at King’s College London and is home to a diverse programme of events, installations and exhibitions, offering a forum where students, the academic community and the public can engage with each other, as well as with artists and cultural partners. Home to a welcoming café and the KCLSU Shop, the Arcade offers a direct connection with research and collaborative activity taking place across the university, and provides a new space on the Strand for conversation, reflection and engagement.
